ARSENAL were stunned on the opening day of the inaugural Premier League season when they threw away a 2-0 halftime lead and shipped four second-half goals at home to Norwich City.

The Canaries had been tipped to struggle after finishing 18th in the First Division the previous campaign.

Not only that, but Norwich had also lost talismanic forward Robert Fleck to Chelsea in a club-record transfer deal.

But that didn’t stop them on the pitch as George Graham's side were put to the sword at Highbury.

Arsenal were ahead when Steve Bould powered home a header following a free-kick.
