The BJP-led NDA secured a significant victory in the recent bypolls, sweeping 7 out of 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh and all 4 seats in Bihar.

The results delivered a severe setback to the opposition I.N.D.I.A. alliance, as key players like the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) failed to make an impact.

The bypoll results in Uttar Pradesh reinforced the BJP’s dominance in the state, countering earlier speculation about a potential decline in its influence.

The NDA claimed 7 out of the 9 seats contested, with the BJP winning 6 and its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) securing 1. The SP, which had performed well in the Lok Sabha elections, managed to win only 2 seats—Karhal and Sisamau.

Key results in UP included: Phulpur: BJP’s Deepak Patel defeated SP’s Mohammed Siddiqui by 11,305 votes.

Ghaziabad: BJP’s Sanjeev Sharma won by a massive margin of 69,351 votes.

Khair: BJP’s Surendra Diler defeated SP’s Chari Kain by 38,393 votes. Majhwan: Shuchismitra

Maurya of the BJP overcame SP’s Dr. Jyoti Bind by 4,922 votes. Meerapur: RLD’s Mithilesh Pal triumphed over SP’s Sumbul Rana by 30,796 votes. Kundarki:
