BHARAT PROGRESS REPORT CHARTS INDIA'S RISE TOWARD DEVELOPED STATUS

The Bharat Progress Report 2025-26, released by the NXT Foundation, highlights India's rapid economic and technological advancement over the past year.

Documenting 101 major milestones, the report charts the country's progress toward becoming a developed nation. It describes 2025 as a landmark year in which India reinforced its global economic standing, expanded digital public infrastructure, accelerated the shift toward green energy and strengthened its technological capabilities.According to the report, India became the world's fourth-largest economy in 2025, overtaking Japan with a nominal GDP of about $4.18 trillion. The economy recorded a strong 8.2 percent growth rate, maintaining its position as the fastest-growing major economy and reinforcing projections that India could soon rise to become the third-largest economy in the world.
