Welcomed reunion on a stunning stage

Fans of K-pop girl group Twice were thrilled and relieved to see all nine members on stage at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Oct 11. This was the first of two sold-out nights, with each drawing 11,000 attendees.

Looking stunning in skintight white outfits, the group opened with This Is For, the title track from their fourth full-length album which dropped in July. It is also the name of their sixth world tour, which kicked off in South Korea the same month.

Twice comprise Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Dahyun and Chaeyoung from South Korea; Momo, Sana and Mina from Japan; and Tzuyu from Taiwan. They are aged between 26 and 30.

The team's full strength for this leg of the tour had been uncertain. On Oct 3, South Korean newspaper The Korea Herald reported that Jeongyeon might miss the gigs in Singapore and Malaysia.

Citing health reasons, the group's agency JYP Entertainment announced that she could not participate in the Philippines concert on Oct 4. She has faced recurring medical concerns, including panic attacks, over the years.

Thankfully, at the first gig in Singapore, she joined the other members for an energetic two-hour performance.

Fans would have been greatly disappointed if she had to sit out the concert, especially as it also marked Twice's 10th anniversary. They were formed in 2015 by JYP Entertainment through reality survival competition Sixteen.
