Warriors on the right track for Magic clash, says Butler

Having stalled recent slumps with nail-biting victories in their respective National Basketball Association (NBA) games on Dec 20, both the Orlando Magic and Golden State Warriors seek a winning streak at the other's expense when they meet in San Francisco on Dec 22 (Dec 23, Singapore time).

Even with Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner and Moe Wagner out of action, the Magic showed off their depth in a 128-127 overtime win at the Utah Jazz on Dec 20. Desmond Bane led six Orlando players in double figures with 32 points.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the Warriors leant heavily on Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler as they pulled off a 119-116 home win over the Phoenix Suns, with Curry going for 28 points and Butler getting 25 points.

Bane believes that the Magic have enough quantity in their roster to overcome even key absences.

"It doesn’t matter who is playing, who is in the rotation. We have a clear identity and a clear recipe for what it takes to win games," he said.

"We have to put it out there on the floor regardless of who is playing."
