I am reassured by the Government's efforts to counter tension, anxiety and uncertainty (Tampines crisis response exercise taken even more seriously after terror attack plan: Masagos, Oct 19) after the arrest of a self-radicalised Singaporean youth who planned to attack non-Muslims (17-year-old self-radicalised Singaporean arrested weeks before planned attack in Tampines, Oct 18).
As a young person, this serves as a sobering reminder that online materials must always be consumed carefully and thoughtfully. When encountering extremist ideas from online sources, we should pause, and actively process what we are reading.
