The Paris Saint-Germain playmaker had provided the through-ball for Wolverhampton Wanderers' Hwang Hee-chan to open the scoring in a 1-1 home draw with Oman on March 20.
Lee, who had come on as a first-half substitute, was taken off five minutes from the end of the stalemate at Goyang Stadium after rolling his left ankle, reported Yonhap News agency.
The 24-year-old, who has 35 caps and nine goals for the Taegeuk Warriors, is unavailable along with Birmingham City's Paik Seung-ho and Jung Seung-hyun of United Arab Emirates side Al Wasl, said South Korea coach Hong Myung-bo.
