President Tharman congratulates Vietnam's newly elected president

President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has congratulated Mr Luong Cuong on being newly elected as Vietnam's president, and wished him success in his new role.
In a letter dated Oct 25, Mr Tharman said that with Mr Cuong, he hopes to continue to build on the two countries' strong cooperation and mutual trust, and work together at multilateral forums, including Asean.
Mr Tharman noted that the two countries' relationship recently reached important milestones.
