Feb 21 South Africa (Fairview) form analysis
-
RACE 1 (1,000M) (1) ANOTHERDANCEFORME was well backed at her debut win. She took her time in finding her best stride but she did quicken well to score. She can follow up.
(2) BONJOUR LA VILLE showed signs of inexperience in both her starts but did finish runner-up behind that rival last time and should fight out the finish again.
(8) STAR OF ELENA debuts for the Gavin Smith-Craig Zackey pair. Could be a threat on debut.
(3) CALL MY BLUFF is a Cape-town Noir making her debut and she can contest the finish.
RACE 2 (1,400M) (1) AMERICAN MATADOR has looked much improved of late, finishing a runner-up in his last two starts. Well suited to this course and distance and is the one to beat.
(2) CHILI BOMB has been a disappointment in that he has yet to win. He usually runs on late and has a winning chance.
(6) ANCHOR MAN has held his form and can contest the finish again.
(3) MASTER INCOLOR showed improvement on local debut and can do even better this time around.

Trump in the spotlight, Asean in the shadows
Mr Trump and Asean operate differently. Ms Susannah Patton, deputy research director at Australian think-tank Lowy Institute, said in a commentary that he is “a leader who emphasises his own unique deal-making genius to reshape international affairs”, while Asean “prioritises consensus and incremental cooperation”. One thrives on command, the other on compromise.
