I grew up in the era when Singapore earned its name as a beautiful garden city.

But the standard of public cleanliness and hygiene in some areas seems to have declined.

It was recently reported that stallholders at a Clementi food centre had a rodent issue. There is also the problem of crows invading many neighbourhoods, including the Ghim Moh estate.
