Building a regional presence to strengthen resilience

A mid ongoing supply-chain and trade uncertainties, Maxsteel Enterprise has centred its strategy on building a regional presence rather than relying on a single market.

From its base in Singapore, Maxsteel has long supplied precision-processed steel and aluminium coils to global names in automotive, electronics, medical and Internet of Thing devices and data-centre manufacturing.

Its most significant move in recent years has been a joint venture in Thailand with Ansteel, the world's third-largest steel mill.

"Thailand's favourable location within Asean, stable policies and growing industrial base make it an ideal regional manufacturing hub. The JV enables Maxsteel to leverage Ansteel's technological and production expertise," says the company's chief executive officer Henry Ng.
