Nandan to screen Uttam retrospective

The retrospective runs from 24 to 31 July, with films being screened mainly at Nandan 1 and Nandan 2 theatres

A 10-day retrospective of Uttam Kumar films will be held in Nandan to observe the 46th death anniversary of the matinee idol.

Uttam Kumar died on 24 July, 1980 at the age of 54 years. The retrospective will be organised by Shilpi Sangsad, set up by Uttam Kumar to support financially-challenged people working in Tollywood.

The retrospective will start with a popular film, Saptapadi starring Uttam and Suchitra Sen at Nandan 1 at 3 p.m. This will be followed by Harano Sur at 6 p.m. in Nandan 1, starring Uttam and Suchitra and Chabi Biswas.
