IOA AGM Approves India's Bid for Hosting 2030 CWG

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Wednesday formally cleared the country's bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games during its Special General Meeting (SGM) in the national capital, with top officials promising an "inclusive" edition that will feature all "medal-earning" sports.
The SGM was preceded by an Executive Council meeting earlier in the day.
India has already submitted an Expression of Interest for the 2030 CWG with Ahmedabad proposed as the host city, but will need to file the final bid proposals before the August 31 deadline.
