India-Bangladesh women's series likely to be postponed amid politicaltensions

The Indian women's team's upcoming home series against Bangladesh, scheduled for December and comprising three ODIs and as many T20Is under the ICC Future Tours Programme, is now likely to be postponed amid escalating political tensions in Bangladesh.
While the BCCI had not yet announced dates or venues, uncertainty around the tour had existed even before the latest developments. Thesituation intensified on Monday when a tribunal court in Bangladesh sentenced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to death. Her subsequent refuge in India has further strained relations, with Dhaka pushing for her return.
