India's Test captain Shubman Gill's historic knocks of 269 and 161 in the second Test against England at Edgbaston helped him rise 15 places to No. 6 in the latest ICC Test rankings for batters, with a career-best rating of 807 points.
England batter Harry Brook, who scored 158 in the first innings of the second Test, is now the top-ranked Test batter in the world. Brook replaced his team-mate Joe Root at the top, and is now 18 points clear of Root, who has moved down to second.
