Embrace Womanhood

A week ago the world celebrated International Women's Day. But women's empowerment is not contained within a day alone. Here is a piece from one of our contributors who chose Holi, the day of colourful celebrations, to remind women that they should love themselves.

In a world that often demands conformity, it's crucial to embrace every part of womanhood with pride, self-compassion, and authenticity. I can't imagine myself not living in a woman's body. My mother once told me that she was not very happy about the fact that I am born as a girl. I felt a little bad about this at that time, but now I know it was not that she wanted a son. She already had three. But it was because she knows the struggles of being a woman. Whether it is menstruation, pregnancy, or menopause, each phase in a woman's life is significant and difficult. However, I have another perspective on this.
