BJP workers vandalise the iconic Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad

A group of local BJP leaders and workers vandalised an outlet of the iconic Karachi Bakery in Shamshabad, at the outskirts of Hyderabad.
They were objecting to its name, derived from a city in Pakistan.
The protestors said the name was unacceptable, particularly because of tension escalation between India and Pakistan.
The BJP leaders and supporters sporting saffron scarves around their necks were armed with sticks and the national Tricolour when they vandalised the storefront, demanding a change of name for the bakery, which has become synonymous with Hyderabad over the past few decades.
The policemen deployed at the store were outnumbered by the vandals.
