Lakhsman Ghorui, sitting BJP MLA from the Durgapur West Assembly constituency, has lodged a complaint at Durgapur Police Station following the circulation of an alleged nude selfie clip of him, taken in front of a mirror, which went viral on social media yesterday.
The incident has caused a major stir in the region.
Mr Ghorui has claimed that the image was fabricated by his political rivals using artificial intelligence (AI), and has called for a thorough investigation and punishment of those responsible. "Someone is trying to tarnish my reputation a year ahead of the next assembly elections," he alleged.

Hungry India
Women are the worst affected by hunger because the patriarchal structures of families in India teach them to go hungry, when food is scarce. It deserves mention that adolescent women are not only the future workforce but also bearers of the next generation.
