Tripura royal scion calls for united resistance against illegal migration. The ruling BJP's partner in the Tripura government, TIPRA Motha founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, today made a clarion call for collective action against the growing menace of illegal migration for national security and securing the future of the next generation.

Pradyot alleged that elements in Bangladesh have historically played a destabilising role in Tripura and the Northeast.

"In the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, our indigenous youth were provoked and armed. Bangladesh supplied them guns, money, and shelter, and they carried out insurgent activities in the state and region, intending to undermine peace and brotherhood in the region."
