Salanpur Police Make First Arrest in CISF Jawan Murder Case

Salanpur Police Station, under the Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate (ADPC), has made its first arrest in the murder case of CISF jawan Sunil Paswan.
Rahul Gupta, alias Murgi, was apprehended from Mihijam in Jharkhand in connection with the case.
On 23 April, Paswan was shot dead by unidentified assailants while visiting Domdaha village near the Bengal-Jharkhand border. Investigators identified a suspect wearing a three-quarter trouser and a helmet, and sources later revealed that he had surrendered before the Jamtara court in a separate murder case on 31 January, allegedly to evade the ADPC.
