With China tightening export rules for crucial rare earths, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said: “India must produce rare materials used in defence and aerospace tobecomea technology creator and safeguard its technological sovereignty.”

He was dedicating to the nationa Titanium and Superalloy Materials PlantatPTC Industries Strategic Materials Technology Complex in Lucknow.

Emphasising the importance of rare earth materials used indefence, space, electronics, and other sectors, he noted that only certain countries have the capacity to refine these materials and make high-end products.
