Security tightened at Paradip refinery following arrest of a man with a live cartridge

Security has been tightened at Paradip Refinery of IOCL following the arrest of a private company supervisor after a live cartridge was found in his bag during checking at the entry point.
The heightened security arrangements were made in view of the visit of Tarun Kapoor, Advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sources said Tarun Kapoor had been on a two-day visit to Paradip to inspect the Plastic Park and Paradip Port, during which he stayed at the Paradip Refinery of IOCL. Ahead of and during his visit, the CISF intensified security measures and carried out strict verification of staff and contractual workers at the refinery.
