Contract worker death in RSP, compensation announced

The body of the contract labourer, who died on Monday in an accident at the SMS II of Rourkela Steel Plant was handed over to his family today.
The family accepted the body only after some of the demands were met by the contractor's association.
The next of kin, in this case his son, will get a permanent job in Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). In addition, he will get Rs. 10 lakhs from the group insurance along with the ESI pension and the EDLI.
