Remembering Chuck Norris

CHUCK Norris was more than a martial artist; he was a symbol of discipline, resilience and charisma that spanned decades.

He had been hospitalised in Hawaii on Thursday, and his family confirmed his death the following morning.

Just nine days before his death, Norris celebrated his 86th birthday on March 10, sharing a video of himself sparring on social media, with the caption, “I don't age. I level up”.

Tributes immediately poured in from fellow actors like Sylvester Stallone and Jean-Claude Van Damme, as well as political figures, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

Before Hollywood, Norris made his mark as a six-time undefeated World Professional Middleweight Karate Champion. His first major screen role came in The Way of the Dragon, where he played the villain Colt.
