“Spirits and Groove took shape during a period of real personal reflection and deep connection with my community. The emotional core of the album comes from late-night studio moments where I finally allowed myself to sit with growth, loss and change.

“At the same time, seeing the resilience and joy in my neighbourhood, especially at gatherings where everyone moved in the same rhythm, inspired the album's uplifting side. Those experiences together shaped its spirit and its groove.”

From the beginning of the project, Deep wanted the album to reflect both his inner-world and the shared energy of the people around him.

He explained that the music carries the weight of his private shifts but also the collective pulse that has grounded him since childhood.

“The album is more than just music. It is a reflection of my personal growth, my community’s voice and the spaces where joy and vulnerability collide. Each track is layered with intention. From the harmonies to the vocal hooks, I wanted to create something that lives in your heart but also moves your body.”

He added that the soundscape is shaped by the way music functions in the places that raised him.

“The album draws inspiration from the spiritual and emotional power of music. It shows how music uplifts, comforts and brings people together. Whether it is the late-night grooves of the township, the gospel harmonies of Sunday mornings or the raw confessions embedded in street culture, Spirits and Groove captures it all with grace and groove.”
