Although it comes with a whole host of unwelcome side effects, it is possible to manage stress and even make it work in your favour.

Here are a few tips to help you take control and ensure that daily pressures are not scuppering your productivity and well-being.

Keep a stress ball

Squeezing a palm-sized stress ball is a good way of relieving stress at your workstation. When you stress, your body tenses up and your muscles tighten. A stress ball prompts you to squeeze and release, which allows your body to use up excess stress energy and release built-up tension.

Keep your stress ball in front of you, just below your desktop so that you have easy access when you need it.
