Mum who subjected 'vulnerable' woman to 23-month ordeal is jailed for 11 years

- Sentinel Reporter

A 30-YEAR-OLD woman has been locked up and faces deportation after committing a catalogue of crimes.

Anna Stukova, of Elm Street, Cobridge, treated a woman as her slave, forced her to be a prostitute, and to steal for her own financial gain.

During the 23-month ordeal Stukova forced the woman into prostitution with at least two men in a car park and forced her to perform a sex act on her in a Hanley stairwell.

Stukova then took the money from the victim and left in a taxi, leaving the victim standing by the road alone.

On other occasions she repeatedly hit the victim with a stick, pulled her hair and kicked her, and forced her to steal from shops.

Paul Cliff, mitigating, said: “There was a degree of vulnerability in Ms Stukova as there were periods of homelessness and she slept on the street. At the time she was in the grip of an addiction to both heroin and monkey dust and she was financially not able to maintain that addiction without resorting to prostitution.
