4,500 sign petition as deadline to buy pottery brand looms

MORE than 4,500 people have signed a petition to try to save an iconic pottery brand 'from extinction.

They hope a buyer can be found for Moorcroft after the Burslem company, pictured, collapsed into liquidation.

Fifty-seven workers lost their jobs following the factory closure.

Now interested parties face a race against time to try to save the brand before tomorrow's 5pm deadline for expressions of interest.
