BEN GARRITY HAS MADE AN APPEAL TO CRITICS FOR PATIENCE....

BEN Garrity hopes Port Vale can put a run of winning results together - starting today at home to Wycombe Wanderers in League One.

The Vale skipper insisted confidence has not been affected by the three league defeats in a row even though morale could be better.

Ahead of today's important League One clash, he spoke passionately in the club's pre-match press conference when asked about the team not being up to speed and defended the players while also conceding his own form could be better.

On his personal performances, when asked if he was happy with his standard he said: “No I'm not, I missed two or three months of the start of the season, and it didn’t have any preseason to just get going.

“I was probably on my own for a couple of weeks. So no, I don’t think I'm at the standard but I don't think anyone is at the standard.

“Do I feel like I've improved physically over the last two or three games? Yes I do because I feel like I'm back to myself, powerful and stuff like that.

Is cat parvo on the rise?

There's been talk where we live in the north of England of an upsurge of cases of a virus disease in cats called parvo. I thought this was a dog disease. Is this anything to worry about? Our two five-year-old cats were fully vaccinated as kittens but not since.
