Van smashed up as bat-wielding gangs clash near school

MASS violence involving tooled-up gangs erupted in a city street twice within the space of 70 minutes.
Police have confirmed that two linked incidents took place in Chell Heath on Monday afternoon.
A group of men with weapons including baseball bats and a car jack were seen fighting on Chell Heath Road at around 2.20pm.
Firearms officers were dispatched to the scene near Burnwood Community Primary School to search for the suspects.
One man was found with a head injury but he refused medical treatment.
