Three arrests in park crackdown

Stop-and-search op finds eight drinking alcohol

POLICE made three arrests and seized e-scooters in an undercover operation at crime-hit Hanley Park.

Fifteen stop-and-searches were carried out in a crackdown sparked by concerns over antisocial behaviour and drug use.

The three arrests were:

■ A 51-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, arrested on suspicion of possession of a blade in a public place. He was later charged and is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice on November 27.
