STOKE-ON-TRENT singer-songwriter Lissy Taylor has been signed by the world's biggest record label.

Lissy has created history by becoming the first female from Stoke-on-Trent to be snapped up by Universal Music Group.

This 'significant event' comes after Lissy, from Trentham, has established 'serious momentum' as an independent artist after touring with award-winning acts.

With a flair reminiscent of Sam Fender, Wolf Alice and Debbie Harry, she is making her mark on the UK music scene armed with her 'distinct voice, attitude and first-class songwriting'.
