Support group's joy at tie-up with charity

VOLUNTEERS helping new mums to get hold of essential items have a new base - after teaming up with a Potteries-based charity.

Stoke on Trent Baby Bank has been providing free clothing and nappies to new mums and mums to be since it was set up by Kirsty Jackson in 2020. Now it has its own section at Emmaus North Staffs’ large store in New Hall Street, Hanley. The move enables mums to come in and speak to Baby Bank members for support.

Carla Weir, of Stoke on Trent Baby Bank, said: “We were delighted when Emmaus North Staffs said we could have a hub at their large charity store. It is a really good base for us.
