Police procedural is just one of a clutch of indie titles you can turn to for budget friendly fun
AS a gamer always on the look out for a bargain I frequently find myself drawn to the offerings of indie studios.
Life’s not cheap right now and we're already staring down the start of another half term school holiday when we'll have to shell out to entertain the kids.
At times like this it feels indulgent to be splurging £55+ on new titles. Thankfully, indie games however offer a less guilty alternative.
So if you're hunting for your next gaming fix, but don’t want to go over budget this May, here are a few titles that should be on your radar.
Among Us 3D
(PEGI 7) PC Price: £7.99
This social deduction game really became popular during lockdown as a great way for socially-distanced friends to stay connected.
Inspired by the party game Mafia and John Carpenter's sci-fi/horror masterpiece The Thing, Among Us sees you having to decide who is a ‘crewmate, and who is an ‘imposter!
At the start of a round, you are randomly assigned as crew or imposter.
Crewmates have to identify and vote out Impostors, or complete all the tasks they have been set. Impostors have to covertly sabotage the mission either by killing the crewmates before they complete the tasks or by triggering a disaster that can't be resolved before the time runs out.
