Council to introduce new parking scheme

FAMILIES have welcomed a residents' parking permit scheme outside their home.

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is introducing the scheme in Ayshford Street and Willow Row in Longton so residents can park outside their homes.

Families called for the permits as they say workers from nearby businesses have been parking their vehicles outside their homes all day leaving them with nowhere to park.

Now the council is introducing the permit scheme and amending double yellow lines to give residents parking spaces outside their properties. Residents will pay £38.50 for an annual permit.
