She transported heroin and cocaine from Liverpool to the city

- Sentinel Reporter

A MUM-to-be was part of a gang who brought drugs from Liverpool to Stoke-on-Trent to help them look 'less suspicious.

Sharon Orr was paired with Daniel Askey to bring heroin and cocaine to the Potteries.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard she was part of the 'Scouse Chris' drugs line operation, which has now seen a total of nine members prosecuted for their crimes.

Orr, 38, was the only woman associated with the gang and prosecutor Olivia Whitworth said professional criminals wanted Orr and Askey to look like an ordinary couple travelling together as they couriered the Class A substances.

The Meir mother - who is currently pregnant - was part of the operation back in August 2019 and she has since 'turned her life around'. At the time of committing her crimes, Orr had been a drug user, and the operation was fuelling her addiction.
