DARREN Moore wants Port Vale to win against Northampton Town tomorrow and revealed that "home form is crucial."

His Port Vale side take on the 13th-placed Cobblers and will overtake their opponents in the League One table if they record their fourth successive league win.

Victories against Exeter City, Mansfield Town and Barnsley have kick-started Vale's campaign and they will be eager to continue the run in front of their own fans.

Two of those wins came away from home while the triumph against Mansfield Town at Vale Park was less than convincing and was courtesy of a penalty deep into stoppage time.

The Cobblers have lost three of their four away matches so far.

In that respect it's a game fans will be expecting them to win.

"The home form is crucial," said Moore in the pre-match press conference.

"We are always honoured to play at Vale Park, it's a real special time for us every time we are called to play at Vale Park.

"We have that opportunity again. Last time we were at Vale Park we came off the pitch after a positive result [2-1 versus Mansfield]. We had to be adaptable and we showed that adaptability in terms of grabbing a result.
