Man behind bars after long list of thefts and burglaries

A MAN who once staged a three-hour rooftop protest to highlight the plight of rough sleepers is now behind bars.

Mason McLatchie hit the headlines last year when he got onto the roof a hostel in Vale Street, Stoke, and refused to come down until police promised he could speak to The Sentinel.

Now the 27-year-old has found himself in trouble once more as he won't stop stealing from shops across Stoke-on-Trent.
