Dad to run Potters Arf in film-themed 'Crocs'

A DAD-OF-TWO is taking on Stoke-on-Trent’s biggest running race tomorrow - wearing a pair of Lightning McQueen Crocs.

Jacob Peart hopes to complete the 13.1-mile Potters 'Arf while running in the soft shoes decorated with the popular character from the Disney-Pixar film Cars.

The 30-year-old is raising funds for North Staffordshire-based Caudwell Children, which provides vital mobility, sensory and therapeutic equipment to disabled youngsters.

Jacob, of Sneyd Green, said: "To be honest, I've always been part of the anti-Croc brigade. I didn't get the fuss about them at all. But a few months ago, I just tried a pair on.
