Lucy completes 24-hour charity nailathon in memory of dad

- Sentinel Reporter

NAIL technician Lucy Howlett worked on clients’ hands nonstop for 24 hours -and raised hundreds of pounds in memory of her ‘amazing’ dad.

Lucy, aged 28, painted the fingernails of 23 people in her garden studio in Waterhayes as part of a ‘nailathon’ fundraiser for the UK Sepsis Trust. Lucy’s dad Alan Howlett died of the condition aged 56 last year after previously battling it three times.

Now she has raised almost £1,200 in his memory after completing the mammoth task in her pyjamas.

Lucy, from Stoke-on-Trent, said: “Tt was a wonderful experience, full of laughter and positive energy.

“The day and night ran smoothly with everyone turning up, lots of snacks, fizzy pop and coffee to keep me going.
