City's oatcake shops celebrated in photobook

OATCAKES are being celebrated in an 'uplifting' new photobook by an award-winning photographer.
Tunstall Tortillas, by Stoke-on-Trent-born David Fletcher, documents the unique cultural and culinary heritage of North Staffordshire's oatcake shops.
Fletcher photographed shops, their owners and customers from 2023 to 2025 - capturing the history, people and stories behind them.
The name of the book is inspired by the poem 'Ode to the Oatcake', written by celebrated 20th Century Burslem artist, poet and playwright Arthur Berry.
