Hat's the way to do it at fine and dandy Met Gala

IF YOU want to get ahead get a hat goes the old saying. That was certainly the case at Monday night's Met Gala where a host of A-list stars showcased some haute couture headgear.

The biggest night in the fashion calendar, this year's shindig was in celebration of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institut's 2025 exhibition Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. And, for once, the majority of the guests adhered to the dress code of Tailored for You. I swooned when I saw Zendaya step on to the Met's famous staircase.

In an impeccably tailored white suit and wide-brimmed hat, the 28-year-old looked super chic.

Musician and Louis Vuitton menswear designer Pharrell Williams, the creator of the three-piece, told Vogue that he had music legend Grace Jones and Twenties blues singer Gladys Bentley in mind when he designed it.
