PREPARATION has been key for Port Vale before matches and Jesse Debrah reckons it's helped the recent run of results.

He also heaped praise on Devante Cole who has made the difference at the other end of the pitch and he stated, "I feel every game we are going to score goals.'

Ahead of the home clash with Northampton Town, eloquent Debrah said: "Without trying to give too much away our preparation has been valuable from the manager.

"We have been getting more discussion time before the games on what is expected of us as a team and as groups and units which has helped us.

"I do think we have been playing reasonably well throughout the season, just that lack of concentration or unforced errors or not getting the rub of the green. But I feel like the last three games we have improved."

He explained: "You look at a lot of the games early on that we were losing, as the manager was rightly saying, we don't think it's anything the opposition were doing to us, it's just self inflicted and we have tried to correct that.

"We have tried to stamp out the mistakes.
