ENDON seconds' batsmen hit top gear to set up their side's comfortable away win at Woore 2nd XI in NSSCL Division Six.

- Chris Travers

L Clow’s 103, which contained 18 fours, plus 96 not out from D Bailey - a knock featuring 12 boundaries and five maximums were the highlights in Endon’s mammoth 376-4.

There were also half-centuries for J Scarratt (56) and A Sibley (54) as the visitors' line-up made hay.

A Burton replied with 46, M Atherton-Gater struck 22 and C Gater chipped in with 19.

But three wickets apiece for K Smith (3-11) and A Ravenscroft (3-19) saw Woore dismissed for 130.

Meakins thirds claimed a narrow two-run success at home against Blythe seconds.

C Gunathilaka’s 65 not out, which included 10 fours and two sixes, plus 61 from J Mugava, were the mainstays of Meakins’ 211-6. Mugava’s innings contained nine boundaries and two maximums.

B Ifticar and Q Ikram claimed a couple of scalps apiece for the visitors.

Ikram then spearheaded Blythe's run chase with a big-hitting 98.
