Man, 22, spared jail after escaping twice
A DAD has been spared jail after twice 'escaping' from police.
Denis Smith, of Sprinkbank Road, Chell, twice ran away from police and pushed an officer in Smallthorne following a 999 call.
But the 22-year-old was captured almost three hours later in a Chell Heath garden.
Nick Tatlow, prosecuting, said: "Police attended an address in Smallthorne at around 4.45pm on June 26 and they saw the defendant run away. Half an hour later he returned and was seen in an alleyway opposite the house.
