Men involved in supplying tens of thousands of pounds’ worth
THREE men involved in the supply of tens of thousands of pounds’ worth of cocaine have been jailed.
Mohammed Aslam, aged 33, Declan Marshall, aged 34, and Damien Leach, aged 32, were concerned in the supply of the class A drug on June 25 last year.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard Marshall collected a parcel from an address in Maddock Street, Tunstall, which was rented and controlled by Aslam. Marshall drove off in a white Audi, despite being disqualified from driving. He later returned to the address and three minutes later drove to Newcastle Street, Middleport, where he met Leach.
Leach walked away from the car carrying a white bag, got in a Ford Fiesta and was driven away. That car was later stopped on the M6 on its way to Swansea.
The white bag contained two tubs. One contained 261 grams of cocaine with an 86 per cent purity, the other contained 240 grams of cocaine with a 73 per cent purity.
Each package was worth between £6,000 and £9,000. But if sold in street deals each was worth £25,000.
