Caverswall march on in big quest to secure promotion

The table-toppers, who are now 27 points clear with four matches remaining, dismissed their visitors for 126 in Saturday's clash.

David Tooth captured 4-24 and there were a couple of wickets apiece for Lewis Wright and John Baker.

Jake Coxon top-scored for Meakins with 56, hitting nine fours and one six in the process, with Lee Sockett (15no) and William Hollins (13) also making starts.

Rob King blasted 10 fours and one six in a rapid 70 on the resumption, and despite a late wobble, Caverswall managed to find their way to a two-wicket success.

Coxon followed up his batting exploits with 3-25, while Chathura Gunathilaka and Muhammed Qasim shared four wickets.
