Man, 36, admits raids on three properties
BURGLAR Alan Mellor is behind bars after his latest crime spree saw him break into the home of a dead person.
The 36-year-old, who has 14 previous convictions for 22 offences, burgled three properties in the Newcastle area between April 23 and May 27.
Now Mellor has been jailed for three years at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court. Prosecutor Tomas Quinn said the defendant broke into a house in Dimsdale Parade West, Dimsdale, between April 23 and 24. A window was smashed which allowed Mellor to unlock the door.
