Homeless man also stole gin worth £106 from supermarket
A SHOPLIFTER kicked a supermarket worker after he was caught red-handed stealing bacon.
Homeless Scott Sherlock pinched four bottles of gin valued at £106 from Sainsbury's, in Wharf Road, Biddulph, last September. But North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard he dropped one of the bottles as he made his escape.
The 37-year-old thief then went to Morrisons Daily in West Street, Crewe, where he made off with £10 of bacon in December.
A member of staff chased after Sherlock who turned around and kicked him in the leg.
