NEWCASTLE Town hope to get back into Northern Premier League West Division action on Saturday when they visit Bootle, writes Clive Youlton.

They have had three postponements in the last month due to weather, the latest coming on Tuesday night when, for the second time, their clash at Congleton Town was called off because of a waterlogged pitch. They were due to host Avro last weekend and were the only game not to play in the division.

Two points above the relegation places, Newcastle have to improve a woeful away record and acting manager Paul Wright hopes that the team can improve that record on Merseyside.
